It pains me to listen to yet another well educated haitian acknowledge all of Haiti's glorious past and history, still in denial about the lack of a functioning government in that beautiful country; Yes, Haiti has been exploited, but no more than the despots who have repeatedly seen being in the government as a way of becoming rich. Instead of constantly blaming America for Haitians ills, why does the diaspora not demand schools for all people born in Haiti, proper roads, codes for buildings, hospitals that can sustain its people; agriculture so that poor families can feed their children; also why are so many children being born when basic needs cannot be met; I am from an Island that became independent, but I can say that we are constantly improving our lot; we do not blame England and America; our people hold its governments feet to the fire; Also, the Elite in Haiti needs to change its mindset; they feel entitled to all the good things that your country has to offer while the poor are left to fend for thmeselves; Take some responsibility for your country and demand that government work for all people. What matters is the now and the future.
